A number of Dulwich Wine
Society members are experienced speakers who are available to lead tastings for
other wine societies etc.
Greville Havenhand
Greville
is a former BBC journalist and now writes on wines for dulwichonview.org.uk
He specialises in
South West France, Burgundy, Alsace, wines from unexpected places, and
biodynamic wines. He has given talks to Central London Wine Society,
NEWTS, East Grinstead Wine Society, Deal Wine
Society, Canterbury Wine Society and The Dulwich Society.
John Townley
Having completed his WSET Diploma, John obviously liked the place so much, he decided to stay on and is now the Quality Assurance manager at the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. John has recently given talks on the wines of Tasmania and Macon for various local groups, as well as an introduction to wine tasting for the National Black Women's Network.
Pat Wainwright
Pat Wainwright has been a keen taster since her first
attendance at a wine appreciation evening class in 1984. Since abandoning a
career in IT (too boring) she has gained the WSET Diploma in wines and spirits
and spent even more time tasting and passing on the interest to others. She has
presented tastings to DWS , other societies, and groups of colleagues in IT.
Special interests: New World and Old World (except Italy!)
